Scarlet Fade is made up of four siblings- Ali ,17, lead vocals, plays the bass and the keyboard ; Jordan,15, vocals, plays electric and acoustic guitars ; Jaimee,13, sings background vocals, plays keyboard ; and Jake ,10, background vocals and plays the drums. It all started in 1996 when the three girls- ages 8, 6, and 4- started singing to backing tracks at churches, convalescent homes, and various different events. At the time, Ali was taking piano lessons. A couple years later Jordan decided to start with the guitar while Jaimee also became interested in the piano and they both began to take lessons. Soon voice lessons started for the three girls and Ali and Jordan began to accompany the voices with the keyboard and guitar. Slowly, Jake started to sing with the band, and started taking drum lessons at age 6 interested in the drums. He soon began to accompany the band as well. Ali then became interested in the bass and eventually took lessons while Jaimee took over on the keyboard. This all evolved into the band Inspire which remained the bands name until early 2005 during which time gigs increased as well as their audience. The next phase to the band was the new name of Scarlet Fade, which is “inspired” from Isaiah 1:18 – “though your sins are as scarlet, they shall be white as snow.” During that year the first two originals, Free and More Like You, were written and sung in public. Scarlet Fade has been together now for 4 years and now have 14 originals with many more in the making. The inspiration to write these songs comes from real life experiences and the desire to give people a hope in God for the future. P.S. Although we are satisfied with this demo (Believe:ep), it doesn’t represent us as we are now. We made this demo in February and since then have greatly evolved musically.
