SALVATION

We of Carpe DM believe in promoting a closer walk with the lord and a willingness to serve him. Of course, the only way to do this is by being a child of his. If you are not sure that you have been born again into the family of God(that means accepting him into your heart) or you need assurance then check this out:

To become a child of God you just need to follow these simple steps:
1) ADMIT- that your a sinner, everyone alive has sinned at one time or another in our lives; even the littlest lie or evil thought is sin. Sin is anything that goes against the word of God. ex. cheating, stealing, lying, cursing, jealous thoughts, and many other things are all sins. The bible says:
>"For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God"- Romans 3:23
>"As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one"- Romans 3:10
No one can say that he has never sinned; it is impossible. Sin entered the world when Adam and Eve diobeyed God and ate of the fruit of the tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.
2)Know the penalty for our sin. We all deserve punishment for our sin because sin must be punished and someone must accept responsibility for what we have done:
>"For the wages of sin is death; BUT the gift of God is eternal life though Jesus Christ our lord"- Romans 6:23
Jesus paid for all sin though his death on the cross. All we need to do is accept that gift and he is willing to forgive us of our sin and come and dwell within our hearts.
3) BELIEVE- that Christ died on the cross for your sin:
>"But God commendeth his love towards us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us"- Romans 5:8
He paid the price for all sin; he knew that sin needed to be punished and he was willing to pay our penalty for us.
4) CALL- out to Jesus to save you and he will:
>"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the lord shall be saved"- Romans 10:13
That's it. All you have to do is sincerly believe in your heart that Christ died for you and he will save you. It is the greatest decision that you'll ever make and you will never regret it. He will be with you for the rest of your life and he will never leave you or let you down. You will still have struggles and hardships in life but God will always be there to carry you through. If you would like to recieve him into your life then just pray a simple prayer something like this;
>Dear Lord,
I know that I'm a sinner and that I am on my way to Hell. I know that sin must be punished but I belive that you have paid the price for me. I am sorry for the sins I have commited and I ask for your forgivness and I ask you to please come into my life. Thank you for saving me today and help me to live for you from this moment on.

If you just prayed that then welcome to the family of God. You will never regret it. If you ever question your salvation then remeber these two simple verses:
>"If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved"- Romans 10:9
>"These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the son of God; that ye may KNOW that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the son of God"- 1st John 5:13
