AAV has been on the local music scene since age 17. In 2001, working with friends in his Linda Vista neighborhood he began the group, Lunatic Nation where he produced 2 street albums. While in Lunatic Nation he met Wendella Spencer and Big Spence of Cali Records who mentored him in many of the business aspects of his career. After the group broke up in 2002 AAV and another member of Lunatic Nation, D-Blak, (Formerly known as Probable Kause) founded a new group named, Grymie Episode which consisted of him, D-Blak and newcomer Stacks. As a member of Grymie Episode, AAV produced many tracks from the three underground albums for Grymie Episode including producing and writing all twelve songs on his solo album entitled True 2 the Game. Music from all three of these albums was played in many clubs around the San Diego area, including clubs such as E-Street Alley in the popular “Gas Lamp District” of downtown San Diego. After the break up of Grymie Episode he began producing a second solo album entitled, "Can You Hear Me?" that released in January of 2007. AAV has done several on stage appearances at local San Diego venues including The Playhouse (2003-2004), formally named Recognize, The San Diego Juneteenth Festival of 2003, Blind Melons in Pacific Beach (2005), Kane’s Bar and Grill (2005) Hot Monkey Love Café (2005) and many other open mic night locations in the San Diego area. AAV is currently working on his 3rd solo album as well as on Stacks debut album due to drop later this year. With his versatile styles on both the mic and the boards AAV is making is way through the industry to bring positive music to the forefront of Hip Hop.
