From Phoenix, Arizona comes PraiZe, a new-school hip-hopper who has made himself known in the underground Christian rap scene with such hits as "Last Breath" from the YES! D2S Mixtape (Death2Self Records) and Internet chart-toppers "Purpose (Why I Write)" and "Represent" (featuring Yungtown, an emcee you might recognize from the 38th Annual GMA Dove Awards). After writing urban-styled poetry in his spare time, PraiZe began to record raps and reached unexpected success with tracks "Real Music" and "Set It Off." But such accomplishments are second nature to the emcee nowadays, as he tackles clever wordplay ("Like") and meaty rap flows ("Aggravated"). He's even formed the rap duo Lyrically Influenced with his homeboy New Breed, who were both heard on Radio Johnson 90.7 WJSC. Aside from New Breed and Yungtown, PraiZe has also spit Spirit-filled rhymes alongside Christian underground heavyweights like Lil' Z, LCD and Knowlij, just to scratch the surface.
